Air cooling PVC granules pelletizing granulator twin screw single screw extruder
PVC granules are the base material for PVC molding, and other auxiliary materials need to be added at the actual molding time. PVC material has non flammability, high strength, weather resistance and excellent geometric stability. PVC has strong resistance to oxidants, reducing agents and strong acids. However, it can be corroded by concentrated oxidizing acids such as concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid and is not suitable for contacting aromatic hydrocarbons and chlorinated hydrocarbons. The PVC particle process includes preparation before ingredients, formula weighing, kneading, and extrusion granulation. Below, the new pilot plastic introduces the key points for kneading and extrusion granulation.
1, kneader
Kneader can be divided into heating kneading and cooling kneader, using high-speed kneader machine.
The processing conditions of heating and kneader are as follows: the kneading time of soft PVC is 10~15min, the discharging temperature is 95~100 C, the kneading time of hard PVC is 5~10min, and the discharging temperature is 100~110 C. In addition, the order of feeding during kneading has an effect on kneading quality.
About cooling kneader, it is necessary to immediately mix the coolant so that the material temperature drops below 50 degrees Celsius before storage can be used for extruder. The process conditions of cooling and mixing, both soft and rigid PVC, are kneading time 5~10min and discharging temperature below 50 degrees Celsius.
The processing conditions of 50L mixer, soft PVC and PE color masterbatch are as follows: soft vinyl chloroethylene refining time 3~5min, melting temperature 90~110 C, discharging temperature 100~110 C, polyethylene refining time 8~10min, refining temperature 80~100 C, discharging material temperature 140~145 centigrade. The well fined material is pellet material, and no plasticized powder or granular material can be released.
2. Extrusion granulation
Granulator can be extruded by single screw and twin screw extruder. It mainly controls extrusion temperature, screw speed, cutter speed and granular cooling. So that the particles do not occur clay particles, particle size uniformity, plasticizing better. The cutting speed of the cutter is adjusted to PVC particle length 3~4mm. The screw speed is adjusted to the granular material without adhesion.
The temperature of the single screw extruder with 65mm diameter is 140~150, 160~170, 150~160, 150~160, and 20~30r/min. The temperature of the twin screw extruder with diameter 51~150mm is 130~140 C, 140~145, 150~155, 145~150, and the screw speed is 15~20r/min. The diameter 6mm parallel twin screw extruder pelletizes polyethylene at temperatures of 200~220 C, 230~240 C, 240~250 C and 250~260 C.
